God’s Succession Plan

INTER-GENERATIONAL TRANSFERENCE

“O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works. Now also when I am old and greyheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.

Psalm 71:17-18, King James Version

FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS

Always keep this in mind. If you were not meant to be a success during this generation, you would have been born at another time. Here is an example of inter-generational transference.

My mother, Mary E. Foster taught me to read, write, and spell. Then God commissioned me to write and publish books.

In the making of the Always Room for One More e-book, Mom is the recorded voice you will hear reading the story.

Not only that but I always desired to sing like Mom. She did not know although I tried to mimic her. After I received voice lessons in my twenties, I was really serious about singing, writing, and producing.

The Kathryn Joy Foster Music Ministries developed a young people’s group whereby my eldest nephew, David L. Munford, Jr. participated from eight years old through high school graduation. During that time, he also learned to sing, write, speak, run the sound system, and produce music.

Afterward, David partnered with me on my first single, Hiding Place. For the Always Room for One More, he produced the project as well as is one of the recorded voices on the release. Dave didn’t stop there but he also taught me how to use the recording software and sound equipment. That is when I recorded the Life in the Blood album in dedication to my Mom.

HIGH DEFINITION OF GENERATION

In the Holy Bible, God set a time limit on living out of the full number of your days on earth. It cited 120 years old in Genesis 6:3. Calculating from birth to 120 years, which equals four generations. The influence of inter-generational transference is highly conceivable. An online search provided a working definition of generation. “Normally, the word generation refers to all the people living at the same time—i.e., the word in the Bible has the same definition that we are used to in modern usage when we speak of Generation X or the Millennial Generation. Normally, a generation is about thirty years; one generation raises the next.”
